Good news engineers 🎉 For the past 6 months, I have been enjoying a title upgrade at Shopify 🦄
My promotion comes after 3 years of investment in myself as a manager, leading the charge on an exemplary 2-year infrastructure project, and having successfully negotiated the few years ahead.
Special thanks to the wonderful Jeremy Cole, who has not only been a mentor, sponsor, and partner, but who's managed to keep years six/seven for me at Shopify such an enjoyable experience.
Here's to many more years of developing an excellent foundation for our developers and merchants, to scaling Shopify's MySQL databases to the moon, and to continued growth for every engineer who takes pride in doing great work.
